Curtis Lee Corbins

Curtis Corbins has been a community advocate and servant leader for over 20 years. His passion for people and his dedication to helping individuals and families is evident in his work ethic and his persistent commitment to address barriers to gainful employment. 


He is a visionary with a desire to provide opportunity and access to those who have a will to work and want to better their circumstances. His innate ability to connect with community organizations and serve as a voice for those who can not advocate for themselves has proven to be effective for him when collaborating with businesses, community partners and city departments.


Corbins continues to serve the community and works diligently to identify and support organizations that provide programs and resources to help eradicate poverty.

Curtis Lee Corbins

Wende Burton serves as Senior Director of Community Philanthropy for Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), providing direction for the foundation's focus on economic stability and asset building for working families. In her role at CFT, Wende oversees the funding and programs focused on building financial capacity in North Texas. 


Wende has over 17 years’ experience with organizational development, business process improvement, curriculum development, and project management. Before joining CFT, she worked in for-profit, public, and non-profit sectors. She currently sits on the Community Economic Advisory Committee for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, as well as the steering committees for the Asset Funders Network (AFN) and the North Texas Asset Funders Network. She is the past co-chair for AFN’s National Financial Coaching Workgroup.

B.J. Bass

B.J. Bass

B. J. Bass is an experienced Business Management Consultant who has held many technical, marketing and executive management positions in his seventeen-year career at IBM. He has also worked in the medical field for fifteen years as a Business Development and Operations Manager. 


He is currently self-employed as a Business Management Consultant, 

specializing in medical project management and real estate. 


B.J. is active in the community and with non-profit organizations. He serves as an Elder at Concord Church and Emeritus Board Member with Harmony CDC. He also served on the executive search committee responsible for selecting the current CEO of Parkland Hospital and on the initial TIF Board for Red Bird Mall. 


B. J. truly enjoys cooking and has personally cooked and served 8,200 meals to the homeless in the South 

Dallas community. 


He has an MBA in Electronic Commerce from the University of Dallas and a BS in Mathematics (minor in Physics) from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS.

Errika Flood Moultrie is the Founder of ConnectThree. An experienced consultant and coach with extensive knowledge in nonprofit management, program and fund development, capacity building, and leadership development, she holds a Masters in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University.  


Having held key leadership positions in top national, local and regional agencies of the nonprofit sector, ConnectThree was founded out of her experience, proven executive skills and passion for empowering nonprofit leaders to pursue personal purpose while leading with visionary excellence. 

Over the years, her work with various agencies also motivated her to develop a new generation of leaders who think critically, act courageously, and work collaboratively in the ever-changing and highly competitive nonprofit arena.

"Ms. P",  as she is known, is a community advocate, volunteer, consultant and servant leader. Her commitment and service to the community continue to be a significant part of her life. As a resident of the City of Dallas for 40 years, she has served as an activist while leading the charge for partnerships and opportunities that help the community connect with the citizens and the citizens connect with resources. Ms. P is a retired retail manager. who has dedicated her life to outreach and community-building? She initiated the Teen Curfew ordinance and Cielo Ranch Apartment Crime Prevention Outreach program. She has won numerous community service awards and continues to work tirelessly to impact and improve the lives of residents in the City of Dallas and beyond. Ms. Pemberton believes that community service is a way of life and her life is evidence of her belief.

Byron Harris

Byron Harris

Byron Harris is a veteran journalist and investigative reporter. Among his national accolades are two Peabody Awards, four Edward R. Murrow awards, six DuPont Columbia batons, including the only gold DuPont ever given to a local television station on, and four Gerald Loeb Awards for business and economic reporting. He has also received numerous state and local awards for his work. 


Harris was an investigative reporter for WFAA in Dallas for forty-two years. He also worked for ABC News, KWTV in Oklahoma City, and KGNC-TV in Amarillo, Texas. He has written for Texas Monthly, The Atlantic, Air & Space, and The Wall Street Journal, and appeared on Nightline.


He has an MSJ from Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Michigan.
